Lunar Zodiac Series

All the twelve signs are connected with one of the four elements: fire brings enthusiasm, earth is grounding, air engages communication, and water helps us feel. These elements are further shaped by their modaility: cardinal (starts), fixed (sustains), and mutable (shifts and changes).

Knowing what sign the moon is in connects us with the astrological mood of the day as well as the shifting terrain of your own inner landscape. The moon travels through each sign for only 2.5 days, so if you blink she’ll be on to the next. This color-coded zodiac wheel makes it easy to know what sign phase the moon is in each day.

Of course the moon doesn’t “make” you feel something, it’s a relationship. When you are in resonance with the energy of each sign, it can assist you in accessing a dimension of the archetypal energy within yourself. It can help weave more magic and meaning into your experience of reality.

let’s explore the mood of the Moon in Aries

When the moon enters Aries, it’s like waking up from a dream or the deep sleep of Pisces, and coming into the present moment, ready.

Listen to the original transmission:

Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, and anything associated with firsts - like first impressions, how people perceive you. Like putting your oxygen mask on first. Going head first, like the ram, possibly taking bold action and thinking about it after the fact. Being first in line, arriving somewhere first, coming in first in a race or competition.

Fire signs are about action and Aries has momentum and speed. It’s time to get fired up!

There may be a mood of “are we there yet?” when the moon is in Aries. And when you're aware of this, you might notice other people being particularly impatient on Aries Moon days. Something is being activated from the subconscious about urgency. And this level of awareness then can help you to be in choice to see:

  • Am I wanting things to move faster to get it over with?

  • What is at the finish line?

  • Am I feeling impatient with others, or perhaps with myself?

  • Perhaps then pausing and turning the intensity of the flame down as needed.

However, if you feel like there's been things you've been putting off, if you’ve felt stuck or stagnant and you need to turn the intensity of the flame up, the moon entering Aries can help be an ignition, initiation, and invitation to begin again.

Aries is what is called a cardinal sign, they are associated with the beginning of each season: Aries - Spring, Cancer - Summer, Libra - Fall, and Capricorn - Winter.

Cardinals signs are catalysts. So in addition to being a fire sign, there is the impulse to get things in gear and moving forward, to feel the adrenaline of adventure.

And so there might be some caution around how many flames are being lit and what can be sustained. But for now with the moon and Aries, riding that wave of fresh beginnings, trusting your instinct, opening your eyes, and taking the first steps.
